Obsidian Butterfly is Sacramento's premier fire dance and performing arts group since 2003.
Our shows include multiple styles of dance, theatrical props, colors, fire, and light infused with music, myth, and fantasy to create a unique story told through movement.
Flow arts classes are held weekly. Offering Poi, Staff, Hoop, Fans, Fire Safety, Fire Dance, and Yoga.
Obsidian Butterfly is an unconventional and non traditional ART troupe. We use ART as a means of self expression, healing, and spiritual growth to create performances that weave our many talents into one production. Our shows are an alchemical blend of ecstatic expression through movement and dance, poetic storytelling, fire, ritual, ancient mystery, and everyday life. No show is the same. We are community oriented and welcome anyone who wishes to learn, teach, or express themselves through any form of ART. The end result is a beautiful dance and a mind blowing experience.
