We are Michelle Jeffalone and Dominique Immora, and we've teamed up to bring you Poi Star - a duo dedicated to fun, upbeat variety entertainment.
Poi Star offers day and night time shows that feature dance and circus skills using either unlit circus equipment or fire spinning equipment.
For day-time or indoor events and classes we perform without fire. This includes: poi, beautiful silk or iridescent flags, stilts, parasols, decorative fans, glittering hula hoops, glow poi, glow hula hoop, and glowing finger fans.
For evening or night time events the fire spinning equipment we use includes: fire poi, fire staff or petite batons, fire hula hoop, fire parasol, and fire fingers (aluminum rods that slide on fingers, with fire at the tip
We have created a truly unique show that melds the beautiful and unusual art of fire spinning with a more traditional circus and vaudeville feel.
The shows are both impressive and humorous, and are suitable for all ages. We offer a range of shows from full-on productions (25 minutes in length), to individual acts (about 3 minutes each which can be used as part of a larger show ) to atmospheric entertainment (wandering variety characters). Poi Star can make a performance as large or scaled down as necessary to fit your event's needs.
